4 Months Old . . . already!

Hello everyone! Well, baby Olivia is now 4 months old and she is learning something new every day! We are working on learning how to sit up, still have a long way to go, but she can prop herself up with her hands a little bit now. Here's a video of us *attempting* sitting up for the first time:

Olivia has also started squealing and screaming (sometimes at the top of her little baby lungs!) for absolutely no other reason than to hear herself. Here's a snippit of her getting all excited screaming and kicking:

We still cannot get her to giggle again - I am sooo glad we caught it on video since she won't do it again. Tonight I got her pretty close, but she was mostly just excited and screaming at her reflection - not really laughing! Oh-well, maybe next time.

Here are a few pictures for you all to see how big she is getting:

She's pretty smiley these days - what a sweetie!

Sleepy little girl!

Here she is on her 4-Month Birthday!

Well, little Olivia got sick this past week. We had my friends over to scrapbook Sunday and Randy and Gracie came over with Sara to hang out with Grant and Olivia. Olivia was pretty fussy that whole day and wouldn't eat much. Sara noticed her pulling on her ear and we started to worry that she was getting an ear infection since Grant had a ton of them when he was little. Well, I called the doctor on Monday and they wanted me to bring her in to check it out. Turns out it wasn't an ear infection (thank goodness!), but she did have a little virus. Apparently she had some sores on her throat that made it hurt to swallow and that's why she wouldn't eat. Fortunatley we just had to give her some tylenol for a few days to get rid of it. Once we started doing that, she was back to her little piggy self! Yeah! (by the way, she weighed 14 lbs 12 oz with her clothes on at the doctor's office. The little piggy had gained more than 3 lbs since her last appt!)

Here's a video we took of her when she was passing out after her last bottle of the night. She is always pretty pitiful when it gets close to bedtime - but isn't she just the cutest?!?!

Here's another video of her first thing in the morning. Whenever we get her in the morning, she always gets this big smile on her face when she sees us and holds out her arms for us to come and get her. We always love seeing her first thing in the morning!

Ok, well hopefully all the pics and videos will make up for me not blogging in a while. My project at work is running me ragged and I've been home doing work every night for the last 2-3 weeks so, I don't have very much free time anymore. This project should be over in the middle of december, hopefully I'll make it that long without going crazy! Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well.

Finger Painting!

Guess what Olivia did at daycare today???? She made her first finger painting (with help, I'm sure!). How Fun! Anyway, when Grant went next door to get her this afternoon, Angela shoo'd him away and told him to come back in little while. Turns out, Olivia was making us a picture as a surprise! She even used Halloween colors, too! Of course, it is hanging proudly on our refrigerator, but I made a scan of it to show you all how talented she is! :)

Growing . . Growing . . Growing . .

Olivia is growing like a weed and learning something new almost every day! She has become a pro at rolling onto both of her sides and grabbing her toys and playing with them. She loves her toys and getting her musical ones to play. She has actually figured out how to hit the button on her toys to get them to play the music! She has also discovered her feet this week. Now, whenever she gets her diaper changed or is just rolling around playing, she grabs her feet and can even pull her socks off. In fact tonight when we gave her a bath, she almost got one of them in her mouth! I'll try to get a picture of her hanging on to them for you all to see.
.
She is still having a great time next door at daycare. She absolutely loves Miss. Angela and Miss. Muriel and they just adore her, too! I'm sooo greatful to have them right next door and to have it work out so well. It helps so that I can also focus more on work because I don't have to worry about her! They even play dress-up with her everyday! She never comes home in the same outfit that I put her in in the morning. ha ha. They take her for walks, read to her, excercise her and work on her kicking and pulling on things. She is always really worn out by the time I pick her up.
.
Well, my parents were here last weekend to see the little one and Grant's parents came up this afternoon. Little Livi is quite popular! Here are some pictures from this past week through today for you all to see how big she is getting!

Check out her cool new boot-cut jeans!

Cutie!

Hello All! I just wanted to share some more pictures with you. My friend Harmony is an expert knitter and she made Olivia an adorable sweater, hat and booties set that I had her wearing for the first time today. The hat and sweater fit her great and she has some room to grow. However, thanks to Livi having her daddy's big feet, the booties are already a bit too snug! Here are some pictures to show you how cute she looks in them!

Snoring!

Here's one more video for you all to see . . . or hear! Make sure you have your sound on, you won't be able to see much as it is dark, but listen . . . Olivia is sleeping in her swing and she is snoring away. It is very cute!

Giggles!

Hello All! Well, something very exciting happened last night . . . Olivia laughed out loud for the first time! She has discovered her reflection in the mirror and last night Grant had her in front of the big bathroom mirror and was bringing her back and forth in front of the mirror and she was smiling really big . . . then out of nowhere, she just started laughing really loud! It was soooo cute. I ran and got my camera and we caught it on camera. (Sorry that this is sideways, I always forget that you have to keep the camera upright to take a video because you can't turn them) Anyway turn the sound up and listen to this:

Ok, so other than the new trick of laughing, she has been getting better at rolling onto her sides and grabbing her toys. We can even let her play by herself on a blanket for a little bit at a time now. She's getting better at entertaining herself now.

Aside from that, here are a couple more pictures for you all to see.

Isn't she cute sleeping on daddy??

Wearing her NC State sweatshirt - pulling for the Pack (YEAH, we beat ECU!!!)

Just Chillin' going for a ride!

Look at the little angel!

3 Months Old!

Wow, time flies! Baby Olivia is already 3 months old today! Here's a couple pictures we took of her today for you all to see how big she's getting:

Look at those cheeks!

What's this flashing thing??

We went to a barbeque accross the street at our neighbor's house yesterday and baby showed up in style! Here she is just before we went:

Little Miss Hollywood!

We also got her a new bigger bath tub because she has out-grown her baby bath. Here she is in her new bath tub with all her new bath toys!

(Notice the conveniently placed butterfly!)

Other than all of that, she has really been working on using her hands and has gotten to be a pro at grabbing things and picking them up. She has gotten really into playing with her toys now and loves anything with music and lights! She is also getting really good at rolling onto her side. She has been able to do it for a little while now, but today we had her rolling from one side to the other reaching for her toys. We had one of her favorite toys on either side of her and she kept rolling from one side to the other trying to decide which toy she wanted to play with. Well, the little stinker decided to grab one and bring it over to the other side so she could have them both on the same side of her! She's getting smarter by the day!

I also just finished my first week back at work. UGH!! My project is the HUGE one that I started managing before I left on my maternity leave and I was REALLY hoping it would be finished before I got back . . . nope, it's still going and now I'm back and trying to play catch-up! Aside from the fact that this project is over an hour's drive away, it is a monster of a project and a LOT is depending on me doing a good job! No easing back into work for me! Oh-well, guess I better catch up quick!

Also, it was Olivia's first day at "day care," that is the day care at my neighbor's house. They spoil her rotten over there and just love having her there! So much better than the day care we were going to put her in. The first day she was there they wore her out so much she passed right out when I got her home and fed her (by 6:00!!) and she was out for the night! Things are going well with that. Olivia really likes them and they really enjoy having her! At least I don't have to worry about her during the day and can concentrate on my big project!

Well that's about all that's going on here. Hope you all are doing well and we'll write more soon!

Here are some more cute pictures of our little cutie:

Do you think she looks like me?
