Cutie!

Hello All! I just wanted to share some more pictures with you. My friend Harmony is an expert knitter and she made Olivia an adorable sweater, hat and booties set that I had her wearing for the first time today. The hat and sweater fit her great and she has some room to grow. However, thanks to Livi having her daddy's big feet, the booties are already a bit too snug! Here are some pictures to show you how cute she looks in them!

Snoring!

Here's one more video for you all to see . . . or hear! Make sure you have your sound on, you won't be able to see much as it is dark, but listen . . . Olivia is sleeping in her swing and she is snoring away. It is very cute!

Giggles!

Hello All! Well, something very exciting happened last night . . . Olivia laughed out loud for the first time! She has discovered her reflection in the mirror and last night Grant had her in front of the big bathroom mirror and was bringing her back and forth in front of the mirror and she was smiling really big . . . then out of nowhere, she just started laughing really loud! It was soooo cute. I ran and got my camera and we caught it on camera. (Sorry that this is sideways, I always forget that you have to keep the camera upright to take a video because you can't turn them) Anyway turn the sound up and listen to this:

Ok, so other than the new trick of laughing, she has been getting better at rolling onto her sides and grabbing her toys. We can even let her play by herself on a blanket for a little bit at a time now. She's getting better at entertaining herself now.

Aside from that, here are a couple more pictures for you all to see.

Isn't she cute sleeping on daddy??

Wearing her NC State sweatshirt - pulling for the Pack (YEAH, we beat ECU!!!)

3 Months Old!

Wow, time flies! Baby Olivia is already 3 months old today! Here's a couple pictures we took of her today for you all to see how big she's getting:

Look at those cheeks!

What's this flashing thing??

We went to a barbeque accross the street at our neighbor's house yesterday and baby showed up in style! Here she is just before we went:

Little Miss Hollywood!

We also got her a new bigger bath tub because she has out-grown her baby bath. Here she is in her new bath tub with all her new bath toys!

(Notice the conveniently placed butterfly!)

Other than all of that, she has really been working on using her hands and has gotten to be a pro at grabbing things and picking them up. She has gotten really into playing with her toys now and loves anything with music and lights! She is also getting really good at rolling onto her side. She has been able to do it for a little while now, but today we had her rolling from one side to the other reaching for her toys. We had one of her favorite toys on either side of her and she kept rolling from one side to the other trying to decide which toy she wanted to play with. Well, the little stinker decided to grab one and bring it over to the other side so she could have them both on the same side of her! She's getting smarter by the day!

I also just finished my first week back at work. UGH!! My project is the HUGE one that I started managing before I left on my maternity leave and I was REALLY hoping it would be finished before I got back . . . nope, it's still going and now I'm back and trying to play catch-up! Aside from the fact that this project is over an hour's drive away, it is a monster of a project and a LOT is depending on me doing a good job! No easing back into work for me! Oh-well, guess I better catch up quick!

Also, it was Olivia's first day at "day care," that is the day care at my neighbor's house. They spoil her rotten over there and just love having her there! So much better than the day care we were going to put her in. The first day she was there they wore her out so much she passed right out when I got her home and fed her (by 6:00!!) and she was out for the night! Things are going well with that. Olivia really likes them and they really enjoy having her! At least I don't have to worry about her during the day and can concentrate on my big project!

Well that's about all that's going on here. Hope you all are doing well and we'll write more soon!

Here are some more cute pictures of our little cutie:

Do you think she looks like me?

A sad day!

Well, it has been 12 weeks and now I have to go back to work! :( I start back tomorrow and I have mixed feelings about it. I look forward to resuming my normal life and having more adult time and using my "brain" again - but I will definately miss my baby! I know that my neighbor, Angela, will take wonderful care of her - but it's just not the same as if I were caring for her myself. We cannot afford for me to quit my job, so we will make the best of this and we have been fortunate to have our NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR care for our little one - I mean how much more convenient can you get than that! But it will still be sad dropping her off there in the morning and everything. I have not been away from her for more than a couple of hours so far - and only a couple times at that! In fact, I have only been away from her a total of 4 times!!! (Twice to Kohl's, once to Target, and one date-night when my mom was in town!!!) I'm sure I will be calling to check on her at least once tomorrow. Anyway, wish me luck as I resume my career and Olivia gets to be a "big girl" at daycare!

Olivia went to the Mountains!

Hello all! So this weekend we went to Stone Mountain with Grant's family and Olivia got to hang out with her cousin Drew. We had a good time seeing everyone and got some cute pictures of Drew and Olivia together. She wasn't so sure about him at first, but then she warmed up a little:

Here are some of the pictures from the trip:

Hanging out with Grandad

We took Oilvia off-roading in the stroller on a trail and it put her right to sleep. Isn't she cute??

Wooooo!

Nature Baby!

Other than the trip, Olivia has been doing well. She is getting better and better with using her hands. Now she wants to use them all the time. We can't even feed her without giving her something to do with her hands or she tries to "help" with the bottle (i.e. push the bottle away or to the side or hold it . . .) She just keeps getting more fun and cuter and cuter all the time. Only one more week home with baby before I have to go back to work and join the real world . . . ugh!

Oh-yeah, she slept all the way through the night last night (from around 9:00pm until 7:00am!) YEAH!!!!
